We were honoured by the presence of the Divisional Eusebius, Gordon Turner, who eagerly volunteered to stand in as Conclave Viceroy for the evening.
The meeting is traditionally a business meeting laying the foundations for the Enthronement Meeting in October. But this year we were having a little bit of extra knowledge built into the ceremonial to make the meeting more interesting, but not before Jon Measures. Vic Parker and I were declared as Sovereign, Viceroy and Treasurer respectively for the ensuing year.
More interesting the evening certainly was, The Divisional Marshal, Ill. Kt. Ray Pye, P. G. Chamberlain had come along to deliver a paper entitled ‘Mark Magdalen, Saint or a Sinner.’ The paper was very thought provoking as we were invited to consider viewing her ‘traditional reputation’ from a completely different prospective, and in my view, a much more logical and sympathetic explanation unfolded before us. Well done Ray, you certainly held our attention and exercised our minds.

After the Sovereign Jon Measures closed the Conclave we had time to take a couple of Photographs before retiring to the festive board for a two-course dinner, during which P.Kt. Iain Wilson, the Sovereign of St Georges Conclave No. 42 invited us all to attend their Enthronement meeting on the 6th June, when he will install his successor.
